State-of-the-art UPS technology for your security
Almost every area of our life depends on digitally controlled systems. A power failure at the wrong time can be costly and dangerous. UPS systems from Wöhrle are therefore indispensable in almost all critical infrastructures.
Maximum security in all areas

In contrast to the public power grid, UPS systems always provide a perfect and clean voltage of the highest quality. The systems also bridge grid outages with their own energy storage. Thus, IT systems are always supplied perfectly and without disruptions. Furthermore, system failures caused by all types of grid faults are avoided.
Whether in-house, container or edge data centers, server rooms or mega data centers - we offer small rack solutions with just a few kVA as well as cabinet solutions with up to several MVA.

Resistance to dirt, temperature, humidity, and vibrations is a key requirement. So is the use of alternative energy storage systems with extended temperature ranges, high power density, and low self-discharge. If additional resistance to interference voltages, voltage and frequency fluctuations and load peaks is required, standard UPS systems are not an option. Wöhrle products provide you with innovative and customized solutions.

Wöhrle UPS systems can withstand high dynamic peak loads and meet practically any redundancy requirement due to their modular design. Thanks to various communication standards, the systems can also be integrated into the building management system.

The secure and reliable operation of critical and system-relevant infrastructures, including water supply, authorities, emergency services, and disaster control, requires a highly available, scalable, energy-efficient, and uninterruptible power supply.

Everything according to plan - precise and reliable
Location, performance, budget and much more. The list of requirements is long. This makes it important to consider everything in the course of the planning stage. Thanks to our experience, specialist expertise and a wide range of individually configurable components, we are one of the few companies on the market that can implement power supply systems for almost any environment.
Good reasons? Here you go.

No matter the
challenge, we
keep our cool
Hard shell. Hard core.
Dust, oils, heat, sub-zero temperatures, high altitudes, vibrations or humidity are just some of the conditions that you may face. Therefore, the correct selection and coordination of components, taking into account the location, ensures the operation of a sustainable system and reduces maintenance costs.
With additional systems, we are able to cover a working range from -40 to +55 °C. This technology is used, for example, in blast furnaces or wind turbines.
UPS systems from Wöhrle can cope with fluctuations between 35 and 70 Hertz at the input and still maintain the desired output frequency and voltage. This makes it possible, for example, to export German machines to countries with greater fluctuations in mains frequency and voltage without having to adapt the machines.
Supply voltages in industrial environments are often subject to high levels of contamination. These can be interference voltage peaks caused by the switching of large loads or voltage dips due to consumers starting up.
We offer high resistance to both wired and wireless interference. A UPS system can only reliably fulfill this requirement if it generates and controls its output voltage completely independently of the input. For this reason, only UPSs of the VFI type, formerly known as online continuous converters, make sense in the industrial sector.
Protection class IP54 is often required for the housing to protect the electronics from splash water and dirt - in aggressive environments, a stainless steel housing is also required. Based on a robust basic configuration, your products can be protected with additional measures on request. These include shock and vibration dampers as well as air filters and reinforced seals on all housing openings.
Many people are unaware of the dependence of energy storage systems on the ambient temperature. Deviations from the standard temperature (20 °C) drastically shorten the time to replacement. Depending on the application, different energy storage systems are used. Cyclone cells, for example, have a three times longer service life of up to 15 years and work in temperature ranges between at least -30 °C and 65 °C. These cells are more expensive than lead-acid cells. Such cells are more expensive than lead batteries, but offer advantages in environments where downtimes for maintenance must be reduced to an absolute minimum. Lithium batteries or capacitive storage devices, so-called supercapacitors, are also an interesting alternative for demanding applications in industrial environments.
Communication between the system and the administrator and the devices to be protected normally takes place via different protocols and media in an industrial environment than in a data center. If the UPS manufacturer can offer Industrial Ethernet or Profibus as a standard interface, this makes integration much easier. USB, RS-232 or RS-485 ports as well as potential-free switching contacts are also in demand from users and are available from Wöhrle power supply systems.

Goodbye expensive energy guzzlers
Modern systems now achieve an efficiency of well over 97 % - this means that up to 60 % of energy can be saved and a new system usually pays for itself in just a few years. We check your system and create a valid and individual energy loss measurement: full transparency!
