Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), often referred to as the voltage distortion factor, plays a central role in the selection and evaluation of UPS systems. This is because the lower the THD value, the cleaner and safer the power supplied by the UPS system output voltage - a critical factor for sensitive IT infrastructure, medical devices or industrial systems.
