Power factor

The power factor is an important key figure in UPS systems and electrical power supply systems. It describes the ratio between the active power (P) and the apparent power (S) of a system and provides information on how efficiently the electrical energy is used. The power factor is usually referred to as lambda (λ) and is a key parameter for determining the power quality.
