Non-linear load
Non-linear loads pose a particular challenge for UPS systems represent. These loads, such as devices with regulated switching power supplies, cause strong system perturbations that can affect the quality of the current. With non-linear loads, the current drawn deviates from the voltage and takes on a non-sinusoidal shape. These system perturbations, which are caused by harmonics and distortions, are a key issue for the efficient operation of UPS systems.
