A line-interactive UPS system (also known as a VI system) is a special type of uninterruptible power supply that is a combination of online and offline technology. In contrast to a classic offline system, in which the load is supplied directly from the mains and switches to the battery in the event of a power failure, the line-interactive system offers dynamic adaptation to mains voltage variations without immediately activating the batteries.
