In future, both companies will offer joint solutions to combine highly efficient power electronics and future-oriented, high-performance lithium-ion battery storage solutions for all customer requirements.

The use of lithium-ion batteries instead of the lead-based systems commonly used in the industry offers numerous advantages:

The much more compact Li-Io systems require up to 50 percent less installation space than conventional lead-acid UPS batteries due to their significantly higher energy and power density.

In addition, the systems from Commeo and Wöhrle are actually maintenance-free, offer a much longer service life, guarantee consistently flexible scalability and, above all, cannot degas. All of this combined reduces operating costs considerably.

Another major advantage of the solution developed jointly by Commeo and Wöhrle is that it meets the requirements of Industry 4.0 with standardized interfaces and reliably enables its applications. In addition, the UPS systems can be fully monitored at any time via a web interface.
